Barcelona airport registers a new record with over 4m passengers in November
Almost 51 million travelers since January
Barcelona airport continues to break records each month, with 4,048,233 passengers in November. This is the highest figure for the month of November, with 5.7% more travelers than last year and 10.2% more than in 2019, according to data released by Spain's airport manager, Aena, on Thursday.
Since January, 50,962.591 passengers have traveled through Barcelona airport, up by 10.7% more than in 2023 and 4% more than in 2019.
Everything suggests that at the end of December, the infrastructure will surpass its all-time high of 52.6 million passengers in 2019 and get close to its estimated maximum capacity of 55 million travelers.
During November, 2,973,595 people traveled internationally, and 1,064,815 on domestic flights.
November also saw 26,036 flight operations land and depart from Barcelona airport, an increase of 3.4% compared to the same month in 2023 and 4.4% more than in 2019.
Regarding cargo, 15,157 tons of goods were transported last month, 9.5% more than in November 2023. Between January and November, 166,922 tons were registered, 17% more than last year.
