Banc Sabadell H1 profits stand at €971 million 

After first half of 2026, last period counting now-sold subsidiary TSB, Sabadell announces share buyback worth €331 million

Banc Sabadell has obtained a net profit of €971 million in the first half of 2026. 

The bank sold its British subsidiary, TSB, in May 2026, and without it, the profits of the Spanish bank are €691 million for the first half of the year.

The €691 million figure is 24.1% less than the same period in 2025. 

The net interest income for Banc Sabadell stands at €1.774 billion for the first half of the year, 2% less than a year ago. 

Between the first and second quarters of 2026, net interest income grew by 3.4%, while commissions increased by 4%. 

The second quarter for Banc Sabadell had an income of €1.23 billion, 3.6% more than the first quarter of the year. 

The sale of TSB, which closed May 1, generated capital gains net of taxes of €322 million. 

Banc Sabadell has increased its outstanding credit by 5.5% year-on-year, nearing €125.2 billion. 

The European Central Bank authorized a share buyback worth up to €331 million. 

This repurchase of the company’s own shares as part of the remuneration after the sale of TSB. 

Banc Sabadell has announced it expects to save an annual €40 million by 2027, continuing the upward trend in commercial activity.
