As many as 1,158,272 passengers travelled with the low-cost Catalan airline Vueling in the month of July. The figures indicate a rise of 3.6% in the number of travellers compared to last year. The data is the first available since Vueling merged with the Spanish airline Clickair.
The number of Vueling flights has also increased in the last year. In total, the airline has operated 8,644 flights in July, a 5.4% rise compared with 2009. The figures are relevant because the company still has the same number of planes (35). The occupancy rate of the planes is 74.3%.

Twelve months after the merger with Clickair, Vueling is experiencing a surge in profits. The company has generated 75.8 million euros in the last twelve months, a significant increase considering the 16.7 million earned before the merger.
