4-Apr-24: 'Water restrictions to continue in summer despite recent rain'
Catalonia will continue to have water restrictions in place during the summer despite the recent rain. Due to the ongoing drought, the Catalan government has ruled out reducing water restrictions after the rain in March. However, authorities do not expect to reach level 2 of the drought emergency in Barcelona, the metropolitan area, and other parts of the territory soon. Meanwhile, public swimming pools could be open during the summer because of the climate emergency.
