Supreme Court president warns against de-judicializing independence conflict

Carlos Lesmes, the president of Spain's Supreme Court, spoke out against moving disagreements over Catalan independence from the legal to the political arena. 

"If the de-judicialization [of the independence conflict] occurs it could lead to lawlessness or, what is even more serious, the loss of the principle of equality before the law," he warned.
