20-Feb-23: 'Former friend incriminates suspended parliament speaker in corruption trial testimony'
The suspended Catalan parliament speaker heard another accused individual incriminate her during her corruption trial. Laura Borràs denied all charges, but her former friend said she told him how to get public contracts avoiding tenders. Isaías Herrero said he had provided IT services to the Catalan Institute of Letters, splitting contracts so that the bills did not exceed the threshold from which a public tender is required.
