The biggest industrial foreign investment in Catalonia in 20 years was announced today in Seoul. An electric battery component manufacturer will set up its first European factory in Mont-roig del Camp, southern Catalonia. ILJIN, one of the few manufacturers of copper foil in electric batteries worldwide, will have a plant in Catalonia in two years' time. The South Korean firm will invest €600 million and will create 500 jobs directly.
