Barcelona (ACN).- This morning 7 organisations from several Catalan-speaking territories presented a newsletter called ‘Intransit’ (www.it-intransit.eu) that will contain previously published opinion articles from Catalan opinion leaders, experts and journalists. It aims to offer a complementary vision of Catalonia to foreign journalists, diplomats and foreign academics. The newsletter’s launchers think that all too often these groups of people receive news about Catalonia only from Madrid’s press, and thus from a centralist and Spanish nationalist perspective.

The organisations behind the project are the Fundació Valencianista i Demòcrata Josep Lluís Blasco, Diari de les Balears, Mirmanda, Federació d'Organitzacions Catalanes Internacionalment Reconegudes (Focir), Catalan International View, Fundació Emili Darder and Fundació CatDem. ‘Intransit’ will be issued every 3 months to start with, but the frequency may increase in the future. The publication’s director, Francesc Cano, said in today’s presentation that “the will is not to justify ourselves but to simply translate texts that have been issued in our press”. The publication’s editorial board is formed by Toni Aira, Júlia Canosa, Guillem Carol, Joan Corbera, Marc Gafarot, Salvador Giménez, Josep Martí Blanch, Carles Montaña, Ferran Sáez Mateu, Marçal Sintes, Simona Skrabec, Antoni Trobat, Jaume Urgell, Marc Vidal Juanola and Elena Yeste.
