The Unity Against Fascism and Racism platform warns of the possible rise of the far-right Vox party in the local elections on May 26, and calls on "all progressive forces at local level" to join a manifesto against the far-right party.

In a united act in front of the City Council of Barcelona on Monday, the document was signed by representatives of Barcelona in Comú, Esquerra Republicana, the Socialist party, Junts per Catalunya, and CUP.

The different parties defended the open and diverse nature of the city and have opted for policies aimed at stopping the rise of the extreme right-wing, tackling inequalities and educating citizens.
