The leader of the Socialist party in Catalonia, Miquel Iceta, has said that solving the political standoff over the independence bid will be “impossible” without dialogue. In an interview with Catalan public radio, Iceta described his first meeting with president Quim Torra—whom he described as “kind and cordial”—as a “first step towards building trust despite political discrepancies.”
