Pro-independence parties are negotiating some common points in their respective manifestoes, regarding how the roadmap towards the new Catalan state should proceed.  The Catalan digital newspaper Nació Digital published nine items on the table by the candidacies of both President Puigdemont and jailed Vice President Junqueras.

Bilateral talks with Spain and the EU to ensure independence

One of them includes launching bilateral talks with Spain and the European Union, through which “Catalonia's access to full independence and the effective and peaceful democratic articulation of the Catalan Republic are made possible.” Other measures in the agreements include demanding responsibility for the violence seen on October 1 and “the release of the political prisoners."

Widening support for the right to self-determination

It also details defending Catalan self-rule and the Catalan school system, widening support for the right to self-determination in Catalonia, and asking the Spanish government to commit to accepting the results of the election. The common part of the manifestoes is also likely to make a call for the European Union to especially watch over “the rights of the Catalan people” against the Spanish authorities.
