Catalan Minister of Foreign Action, Institutional Relations and Transparency, Alfred Bosch, defended what the government spends on foreign action in an appearance in Parliament on Thursday to lay out the main of aims of his term.

"For every euro that the government devotes to policy abroad, the [Spanish] foreign ministry devotes 100," said Bosch, who took over as the Minister of Foreign Action from Ernest Maragall in November.

Bosch also called on the opposition to support the 2019 budget in order to boost international cooperation. According to the minister, if the budget passes in Parliament, the amount available for cooperation will go up from 32 to 42 million euros.
