El Celler de Can Roca in Girona is the second best restaurant in the world –again!
Roca brothers back at No.2 of the World's 50 Best Restaurant ranking, while Disfrutar in Barcelona gets the Highest New Entry Award after becoming No.20
El Celler de Can Roca in Girona is, again, the second best restaurant in the world, according to the World's 50 Best Restaurant ranking published today.
The Roca brothers went up from their third position last year and stood only behind Osteria Francescana, which won the award for the second time. Since 2009, the Catalan restaurant has been amongst the top 5 in the world. It was honored as the best in 2013 and 2015.
Barcelona based Disfrutar got the Highest New Entry Award, becoming number 20 in the ranking. The restaurant is a project of three former chefs from world-renowned El Bulli, from Ferran Adrià, now closed. Tickets, the restaurant by Albert Adrià, became 32 in the world.
