The new 2018-2019 season for the CaixaForum Barcelona Museum will have as protagonists Toulouse-Lautrec, Vélazquez, and Max Beckmann.

For the French post-impressionist, the exhibition will gather more than 50 pieces in order to "reconstruct the context of the painter in Montmartre," while that around Velázquez will be the first on the artist shown in Barcelona. CaixaForum has also joined with the Thyssen Museum to welcome a collection showing an anthology on German artist Max Beckmann.

Additionally, museum-goers will be able to enjoy a collection of luxury objects from the Near East in collaboration with the British Museum with 'Luxe,' and a showing of works from the time between world wars, done jointly with the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM).

For its last season, the CaixaForum Barcelona museum received 850,000 visitors, some 20% more than the previous year, with 11 exhibitions, and 2,360 activities.
