Prizes are the theme in the latest chapter of the year of Rosalía - having received two MTV awards last month, the Catalan artist has been nominated for four more at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Her smash-hit “Con Altura” featuring Colombian singer J Balvin, which took the world by storm earlier this year and now has nearly one billion views on Youtube, is behind her nominations for the ‘Best Video’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ accolades. She is also nominated for ‘Best Look’ and ‘Best Push’.

It has been a breakthrough year for the Catalan artist, who has risen to stardom through imaginative videos, distinctive style and her urban twist on the flamenco genre

This is the latest in a series of award nominations - last month, she became the first Catalan artist to win two MTV awards, and this year has also picked up two Latin Grammys and one Music Moves Europe Talent Prize.

Other notable nominations at the awards included Ariana Grande, who led the nominations with seven, and Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish, with six. The awards will take place on November 3.
