There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by beautiful books with all the time to look at them. At the new exhibit 'The Pleasure of Looking: Treasures from the University of Barcelona Library Fund,' visitors will be able to do just that. Hosted at the Catalonia History Museum and put on by the museum itself in collaboration with the University of Barcelona (UB), it aims not only to show beautiful works of art, but additionally to invite museum-goers back in time, when knowledge was shared through books.

The exhibition is free of charge, and will run until 2018, on February 25. Three types of ancient books are featured in the 40-book-collection: manuscripts, incunables (books that were printed before the year 1501 in Europe), and printed books. These tomes all come from the Reference Library of the Resource Center for Learning.
