The first major homage to Montserrat Caballé after her death will be held in November 17 in Barcelona’s Cathedral.

The tribute to the Catalan world-class soprano, who died on October 6, will include Verdi’s ‘Requiem,’ performed by the Orchestra and the Choir of the Liceu, Barcelona’s renowned opera house.

Several artists will also join the event including Ainhoa Arteta, Maite Beaumont, Nikolai Schukoff and Alexander Vinogradov.

Liceu opera house, organizing the tribute, will also open its doors for the people who want to follow it from a big screen for free.

The tickets will be available on Liceu’s website on November 12.

This event will precede the main event which is still being organized to tribute Caballé, whose funeral was held on October 8, and will be held next spring.

According to the opera house, it will have “a global scale” and will be starred by some of the greatest current opera and lyrical singers in the world.
