Spanish VP: talks 'deadlocked' as Catalan govt rejected proposal

<p>Spanish vice president Carmen Calvo has said that "we wanted to move forward quickly [with dialogue] in this term but for now the situation is deadlocked because [the Catalan government] has not accepted our proposal." On Friday, Madrid <a href="../../../../../politics/item/spain-suspends-talks-with-catalan-government" target="_blank">announced the suspension of negotiations</a> and ruled out any further concessions in negotiations with pro-independence parties.</p> / ACN
