21-Dec-17 Election Special 1: ‘Long queues in first voting hours'
Citizens are flooding the polling stations in a crucial, atypical and uncertain election. For the first time ever, the vote has been called by the Spanish government. It’s been a very intense autumn. And now, after the police violence on October 1, the declaration of independence and the enforcement of Article 155, voters have their say. It’s a very polarized election, with pro-independence and unionist blocs, and only one non-aligned party.
