Alguaire (ACN).- Starting the 30th of October, Vueling will fly out of the Lleida-Alguaire airport to 14 European destinations with stopovers in the Barcelona El Prat Airport, the operations centre of the airline. The smaller airline company Pyrenair will introduce three new routes for the winter season. In January it will begin connections from Lleida-Alguaire to Madrid and Vigo and in February it will begin a new route to Lisbon. Information regarding the Lleida-Alguaire airport’s winter season was released today. Vueling will continue direct flights to Palma de Mallorca but will end its Paris flights, offering the destination via Barcelona. Ryanair will maintain its flights to Milan and Frankfurt.

Travellers can now fly to Lleida via Barcelona from Málaga, Alicante, Bilbao, Granada, Menorca, Oviedo, Seville, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, Lisbon, Milan, Venice and Paris. In October Vueling will discontinue its Paris flight because of less than 40% occupancy, but the company plans to offer a new route in the near future.

Ticket prices from Lleida to Barcelona run at around 19 euros. Travellers will be able to check their baggage in the Lleida-Alguaire airport all the way to their final destinations if travelling to one of the 14 routes offered by Vueling.
