Barcelona (ACN) - Cookbooth and dondeEsta Family are two of the sixteen apps which are finalists at the Mobile Premier Awards, the  sector’s most noteworthy awards, which will be awarded at Barcelona's Sala Apolo on the 2nd of March, coinciding with the first day of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The MWC is the world's largest event of the mobile and phone-related industry, which takes place each year in the Catalan capital at the end of February or in early March. The Best App Award, the Best Audience App and the Big Impact Award will be given. The winners of last year’s edition, Fetch, Mis Reuniones and SocialDiabetes, will sit on the jury. Cookbooth is a recipe photo-sharing platform for chefs and food connoisseurs and dondeEsta Family helps families locate their members. Both are available for iOS and Android devices.

The apps have been selected by an international jury made up of winners of the past editions and the AppCircus online challenges, the world’s biggest itinerant app contest created by the Barcelona-based startup dotopen. Sixteen apps are competing for the award, from South Africa, Belgium, France, Russia, Israel, India, Brazil, United States, Norway, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay.

Cookbooth is an app for sharing photo recipes between chefs and food connoisseurs around the world. It is available on iPhone and Android devices.

dondeEsta Family helps locate families. It provides access to a map where the location of each member is shown, along with real time notifications that provide information about the position of the users. This app is also available for iOS and Android devices.

During the ceremony, two more awards will be given, the Best Audience Award, that will distinguish the most-voted app by the public, and the Big Impact Award, that will reward the app with the most impact on people’s daily lives.

The Mobile Premier Awards will offer, once again, the most innovative apps, and reunite investors, experts, institutions and startups to boost projects with a global scope.
