2-May-24: 'Govt considering lifting drought emergency measures after April rains'
The emergency drought measures in effect in most of Catalonia could be lifted after the heavy rains over the past few days. The Catalan government will assess the situation in reservoirs before deciding if it would downgrade the drought emergency phase in the Ter-Llobregat system. Reservoir levels surpassed 20% this week for the first time since last October. Yet, authorities say they will act with prudence.
